    “I feel like Japan itself is growing and the levels are getting higher. So I'm going to be the oldest on the team, so hopefully I can help the team with my experience. Representing your country on a golf tournament, it's something very special and unique. Just try to play my best game as I can, and hopefully I can make the team proud.”

    Six LPGA Tour victories: 2022 DIO Implant LA Open, 2021 Walmart NW Arkansas Championship, Dana Open, 2019 JTBC Classic, 2018 TOTO Japan Classic, Walmart NW Arkansas Championship

     

    Finished T14 at the 2016 LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament to first earn LPGA Tour status (At age 17, she was the youngest player in the field)

     

    After a difficult rookie year, she returned to LPGA Q-School at the end of 2017, where she finished as medalist to regain LPGA Tour Membership for 2018

     

    Six-time JLPGA Tour winner: In 2016, she became the first amateur and the youngest champion (at 17) to win a JLPGA Tour major tournament when she won the Japan Women’s Open Championship

     

    Represented Japan at the 2020 Olympics, finishing T9
