DAYTONA BEACH, Fla., April 3, 2023 – Eight countries and 32 players have booked their spots at the 2023 Hanwha LIFEPLUS International Crown, the exciting team match-play competition that showcases the best female golfers from across the globe. The event will be held at San Francisco’s TPC Harding Park on May 4-7, 2023, marking the first elite women’s competition to be held on the famed layout.

The final country seedings and qualified players were confirmed via the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings as of April 3, 2023, following yesterday’s completion of the DIO Implant LA Open. The final countries were determined by the combined Rolex Rankings of the top four players from each country as of Nov. 21, 2022, immediately following the CME Group Tour Championship.

Players have until April 7, 2023, to commit to the 2023 Hanwha LIFEPLUS International Crown. Country seedings will not change, regardless of any team lineup changes.

The players are thrilled for the opportunity to represent their countries in San Francisco in May. “It's really rare for me to represent just England. It's usually Europe or Great Britain,” said Hall, who played in the 2018 edition in Korea. “To represent my actual country is always a massive honor for me.”

“Any chance I get to represent USA is a big deal for me. Last time I was qualified for International Crown I didn't get to represent it (2020, when the tournament was cancelled due to the pandemic), and sometimes I think there is a reason why,” said Kang, who secured the fourth berth for the U.S. Team thanks to her tie for seventh at the DIO Implant LA Open. “I can't wait to go to San Francisco because that's where I was born, and I can't wait to play with the team that's been set.”

“Representing your country in a golf tournament, it's something very special and unique, so the way I play won't change. The way I play will be the same. But just try to play my best game as I can do, and hopefully I can make the team proud,” said Hataoka, who previously represented Japan in 2018. “Golf in Japan, the levels are getting higher and higher, especially the JLPGA Tour. I think it's a really good opportunity for all of us to represent our country, not just as a Japanese, but as a golfer, you know, to let people know that we're on a really good stage.”

The Hanwha LIFEPLUS International Crown will take place over four days. Thursday, Friday and Saturday will feature four-ball competition. The top two countries from each pool will advance to Sunday. Two semifinal matches will be played Sunday morning, with each match consisting of two singles matches and one foursomes match. The winning semifinal countries will compete in the final match on Sunday afternoon, along with a third-place match between the two losing semifinal countries. The final and third-place match will be played in the same format as the semifinals.

Fans can purchase various ticket and hospitality packages to enjoy every activity throughout the four days at TPC Harding Park. The International Pavilion is a climate-controlled, open-air seating area that will offer elevated views of the 12th hole with views of Lake Merced and will play a pivotal role in deciding exciting matches throughout the week. General Admission tickets start at $60, and all juniors 17 and under will receive complimentary access to the tournament grounds with a ticketed adult.

Additionally, to honor those who serve, the LPGA and the Hanwha LIFEPLUS International Crown are pleased to offer complimentary access to Active Duty, Military Retirees, Active Reserve, National Guard and First Responders, Thursday through Sunday.
