With the first International Crown tournament less than two months away, here’s a look at the sixth-seeded Swedish team:

The Swedes are familiar with representing their country in the Solheim Cup. Two International Crown participants, Anna Nordqvist and Caroline Hedwall, have played in the bi-annual competition between the United States and Europe.
Nordqvist made the only hole in one in Solheim Cup history during last year’s European victory.
Hedwall went 5-0 last year, the first time a player has recorded that mark. She has a 7-1-1 career Solheim Cup record.
Nordqvist won twice in the first six events of the 2014 season.
The Swedes have more United States college players than any team in the competition. Mikaela Parmlid, 33, won the 2003 NCAA Championship (Southern California), Anna Nordqvist attended Arizona State and Caroline Hedwall and Pernilla Lindberg played at Oklahoma State. Hedwall won the NCAA at OSU. By comparison, the United States team has one collegian (Stacy Lewis, Arkansas). The other three Americans, Paula Creamer, Lexi Thompson and Cristie Kerr, turned professional after high school.
Parmlid went to high school in Scottsdale, Ariz., and lives in Los Angeles.
Hedwall came to the United States in 2008 along with twin sister Jacqueline. Caroline played at Oklahoma State, Jacqueline at LSU.
Sweden opens International Crown play against Japan on July 24.
